Round out your vacation
in the City Different with a day of museums. Some offer a multi-institution
pass that can save you money compared to individual tickets. All four
below are conveniently near the Plaza and the next four are about two
miles up the Old Santa Fe Trail on Museum Hill.
Be sure to allow at
least one morning or afternoon for the walk up Canyon Road from Paseo
de Peralta. It's a must-do Santa Fe experience. Collections in galleries
along Canyon Road rival the museums and of course everything is for sale.
Located on the southern
outskirts of Santa Fe, "The Ranch of the Swallows" is a living
history museum of Spanish Colonial life, featuring demonstrations by docents
in period costume.
